“Hands Up (Raise Your Fist)” features the raw soulful vocals of Leo Napier (GRiZ / Gramatik) and was produced by Nick Middleton. The song made its live debut this summer and was a standout at music festivals across North America, including the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre this past September.

Middleton says, “Hands Up is one of my favourite tracks I’ve ever produced. Working back and forth on the song with Leo was a dream, he nailed the vibe I was hoping for and his lyrics really elevated the song to a whole new level. I’m thrilled to give our fans a first taste of this new album.”

Napier says, “With Hands Up, I wanted to write something anthemic to match the feel of the beat. That heavy electro-bass and funk guitar sounded like power-to-the-people music. It was begging for something epic, something that people could rock out to and stick their middle fingers in the air. I guess The Funk Hunters’ music tweaked the anarchistic impulses in me!”

Borrowing inspiration from classic funk and hip-hop, The Funk Hunters are putting the soul back into electronic dance music. Having honed their craft with over 600 performances in 16 countries, they have performed at major festivals such as Coachella, Burning Man, Osheaga, Shambhala and Electric Forest. The pair have also amassed over 10 million track streams across their catalogue of remixes and collaborations, including official remixes for Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez, Big Gigantic and Gramatik. Don’t miss them in a city near you.
